Over 1,000 Unite members working at Diligenta sites in: Liverpool, Glasgow, Reading, Edinburgh and Stirling struck for the first time in their fight for fair pay and against real terms pay cuts. It was great to visit and address the striking Diligenta workers in Edinburgh just before Christmas. They are a tremendous example of Unite organising new groups of workers to fight for an above inflation pay rise.
Following 14 days of strike action, Unite members across Diligenta voted to accept a three year pay deal. The pay deal is linked to inflation, includes an additional day of annual leave and a commitment to full pay transparency across all Diligenta.
